2. After installing the pump, connect the pump’s black lead wire
directly to the 12 volt battery negative (-) connector. Connect
the pump’s brown wire lead to one wire of an in-line fuse
holder and connect the other fuse holder wire to one lead
wire from the Electric Faucet. Connect the other Electric
Faucet lead wire directly to the 12 volt battery positive (+)
connector. (See Figure 1). Added wire must be 18 gauge or
larger.
An optional power ON/OFF switch, such as Attwood 7589 or
7563, may be installed as a master switch as shown in Figure 2.
The pump may be threaded directly into the tank. However,
this is a centrifugal pump and must be positioned lower than
the source of water to operate. Do not install on a surface
higher than the bottom of your fresh water supply tank.
NOTE: When installing, outlet nozzle should always be higher
than inlet nozzle. (See Figure 3)
CAUTION:
This product is not water resistant and must be installed
in a dry location.
Do not use synthetic rubber sealant (Silicone, RTV, etc.) or
any sealant which smells like vinegar to seal the pump or
its fittings. Use of these materials may cause the pump to
crack. It is best to use plumbers Teflon
®
tape where
required.
CAUTION:
ALWAYS protect the pump and the wiring with a 2 amp
fuse. For 12 volt DC use only.
