Emergency Starting Engine
1) Remove the top cowling.
2) If the engine is equipped with a start-
in-gear protection cable, remove it 1
by pulling it out from the starter.
3) Remove the starter/flywheel cover by
removing the 4 bolts.
4) Prepare the engine for starting. See
“STARTING ENGINE” for procedures.
Be sure the engine is in Neutral and
that the lanyard lock plate is attached
to the engine stop lanyard switch. If
the engine is equipped with a main
switch, it must be on.
