2. Push the “” (up) side of the power trim
and tilt switch to fully tilt the outboard mo-
tor up.
3. If you have the tilt support shaft, install
the tilt support shaft. For information on
installing the tilt support shaft, see page
29.
4. Once the outboard motor is supported
with the tilt support shaft, push the “”
(down) side of the power trim and tilt
switch to retract the trim rods. NOTICE:
Make sure that the trim rods retracts
completely during mooring. This pro-
tects the rods from marine growth and
corrosion, which could damage the
power trim and tilt mechanism.
