Hi - My friend gave us this treadmill and it seemed to work for the first week for quick trials. But, I went to run on it and as I up the speed the belt slows. If I raise the incline, it gets up a bit more speed but still not enough to even run. Flat it can barely function with my weight on it. I can't seem to find a manual online, and know nothing about treadmills. Does this sound like a familiar issue to anyone? Thanks so much! Lori

0 It sounds like your motor drive board might be problematic. How comfortable are you at working on electrical devices?

0 At this point, it's completely useless, so I'm totally open to tearing it apart and giving this a shot. I also have handy friends who might be useful with the electrical devices part....

0 To test the control board you will need a 10k ohm potentiometer (a 1-turn "pot" is okay) with spade terminals on the three leads. You can get these parts at Radio Shack if your friends don't have them. You will need to solder the leads onto the pot. You will connect this pot to the motor drive board to run the motor without the treadmill control. If the motor control board is bad, a replacement will cost somewhere between $100 and $250 (not from me, though; I am not a treadmill technician). If you want to proceed, I need a less cumbersome method to send directions. Do you have a disposable email address you can add to a comment?

0 o.k. I will run this by my handy friend to see if he thinks we're out of our league here. I know that I'm out of mine, as soon as I read "solder". :) But, maybe he can work with this....I'll be in touch. Thank you so much!
