Missing piece...

I have a Free Spirit by Dyaco model 909 and have misplaced the piece that allows it to run. I don't know how to call this piece. It's an oval piece attached to a string, attached to a clip that you attach to yourself and that automatically stops the treadmill if it comes out of the oval imprinted onto the treadmill itself...
