temperaturereadings,andthereforeoperatesopen-loopwithrespecttobatterytemperature.
APFCof1islikeaPFCof0,excepttemperatureisalsomonitoredduringbatterycharging.Ifcharging
temperaturefallsoutsideofthepresetrangedefinedindataflash,achargercanbedisabledviathe

andotherIC’sandsubcircuitsthatdrawappreciablepower.Afterabatteryisinsertedintothesystem,this
electronicsmustbedisabled,sothatanaccurateOCVcanberead.TheOCVisusedforhelping
determinewhichbatteryprofiletouse,asitconstitutespartofthebatteryimpedancemeasurement.
Whenabatteryisinsertedintoasystem,theImpedanceTrack™algorithmrequiresthatnochargingof
thebatterytakesplaceandthatanydischargeislimitedtolessthanC/20—theseconditionsaresufficient
