screenbrightnesscanhelpconservebatterycharge,forexample,whenyou’retraveling
byair.Manyofyoursystempreferencesareautomaticallysettooptimizebatterylife.
Youcandeterminethechargeremaininginthebatterybylookingattheeightbattery
levelindicatorlightsontheleftsideofyourMacBookPro.Pressthebuttonnexttothe
lights,andthelightsglowbrieytoshowhowmuchchargeremainsinthebattery.
Important: Ifonlyoneindicatorlightison,verylittlechargeisleft.Ifnolightsareon,
thebatteryiscompletelydrainedandtheMacBookProwon’tstartupunlessthepower

applicationsanddisconnectperipheraldevicesnotinuse,andadjustyourEnergy
