UPDATE Use this function to delete
CD names during CD and
changer operation to make
more storage capacity avail-
able for new discs. (See
“Deleting CD names with
DSC-UPDATE”).
To quit the DSC programming mode and
store the adjustment:
• Press DSC.
(See the section on “Short
Additional Memory S.A.M.”).
If you remove the KeyCard
during the reading process,
“READ KC” will appear on
the display panel.
LED ON/OFF Here you can choose be-
tween LED ON or LED OFF.
With LED ON, the “ON”
knob will flash for extra anti-
theft protection when the
unit has been switched off
and the KeyCard removed.
PEAK ON/OFF
Switches the dynamic level
display for the volume on/
off.
TOM ON/OFFIf you have a second Key-
Card with a Turn-On Mes-
sage, you can switch off this
information with “TOM
OFF”. The factory setting is
“TOM ON”.

AUX ON/OFF
(for Alabama DJ, Tokyo
RDM 169)
This menu item will not ap-
pear unless a CD changer
has been connected to the
system. The factory setting
is “OFF”.
If another system compo-
nent is connected to AUX,
this setting must be altered
to “AUX ON”.
LEARN KC To “train” a second Key-
Card.
Please read the information
in the section on “KeyCard
theft protection system” -
“Training a second Key-
Card”.
READ KC To read out the KeyCard
data.
The card supplied with the
radio is used to display the
model name, type number
(7 6 …) and the serial
number.
With the extra card it is pos-
sible to display data entered
by your specialised dealer.
