• While holding the steering column in place, position the
vehicle body on its side.
• Fit the curved end of the steering column into the hole
in the steering linkage. Make sure the bottom of the
steering wheel is tight against the dash.
Helpful Hint: You may need help of another person to
rotate the steering wheel to fit the end of the steering
column into the hole in the steering linkage.
• Turn the vehicle body upside down.
• Fit a cap nut on the end of the steering column.
• Tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the end
of the steering column.

• Insert the curved end of the steering column down through
the hole in the dash and vehicle body.
Helpful Hint: You may need to rotate the steering column to
slide it down through the hole in the vehicle body.
