6. Disengage the system board from the chassis by sliding it toward the front of
the computer and then lift it out.
7. Place the defective system board next to the new system board on a clean, flat
surface.
8. Note the location of the memory modules and remove them from the failing
system board and install them on the new system board in the same location
as they were on the failing system board. See “Removing and replacing
memory” on page 119.
9. Remove the heat sink and microprocessor from the failing system board and
install them on the new system board. Go to “Removing and replacing the
microprocessor” on page 126.
