The System page has the following guidelines:
• NTP: Selects that the unit’s time be synchronized with the Network Time Protocol (NTP) server.
• Date/Time: Allows you to select date and time format.
• Server: Allows you select the NTP server.
• Sound: Allows you configure the unit to issue a sound in response to the following:
– Button: Sounds a single beep when a front panel or remote control button is pressed.
– Alarm: Sounds a continuous beep approximately once per second until the alarm event is acknowledged.
– Motion: Sounds a continuous beep approximately once per second until the motion event is acknowledged.
– System: Sounds a single beep when a system action occurs.
NOTE: Events are acknowledged at the DX4104 server. Refer to the DX4104 Server Operation/Configuration manual for more
information.
• Update: Allows you to update the system software, PTZ protocols, and the update media.
• User: Allows you to create and administer user accounts.
• Hard Disk: Allows you select the HDD overwrite method and set the full-warning setting.
• Log Out: Allows you to select the automatic user log off feature and time.
