SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB ENGINE
Raise hood.
Pullbulbholder outof the hole inthe backside of the grill.
Replace bulb in holder and push bulb holder securely
back into the hole in the backside of the gdll.
Close hood.
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged widng may cause your tractor to run
poody, stop running,or prevent it from starting.
Checkwidng. See electricalwidng diagram in the Repair
Parts section.
TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with20 ampautomotive-type plug-infuse. The fuse
holder is located behind the dash.
TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL ASSEMBLY
(See Fig. 27)
Raisehood.
Unsnap headlightwira connector.
Stand infront of tractor. Grasp hood at sides, tilttoward
engine and liftoff of tractor.
To replace, reverseabove procedure.

TO ADJUST THRO'n'LE CONTROL CABLE
(See Fig. 28)
The throttle control has been preset at the factory and
adjustment should notbe necessary. Check adjustment as
descdbed below before loosening cable. If adjustment is
necessary, proceed as follows:
With engine notrunning, move throttlecontrolleverfrom
slow to choke position. Slowly move lever from choke
to fast position.
Check that holes"A" in governorcontrol lever and hole
in governor plate line-up. If holes =A" are not aligned,
loosen clamp screw and move throttlecable until holes
are aligned. Tighten clamp screw securely.

TO ADJUST CARBURETOR
The carburetor has been preset at the factory and adjust-
ment should notbe necessary. However, minoradjustment
may be required to compensate for differences in fuel,
temperature, altitude or load. Ifthe carburetor does need
adjustment, see engine manual.
High speed stop isfactory adjusted. Do notadjust- damage
may result.
IMPORTANT: NEVER TAMPER WITH THE ENGINE
GOVERNOR, WHICH IS FACTORY SET FOR PROPER
ENGINE SPEED. OVERSPEEDING THE ENGINE ABOVE
THE FACTORY HIGH SPEED SETTING CAN BE
DANGEROUS. IFYOUTHINKTHE ENGINE-GOVERNED
HIGH SPEED NEEDS ADJUSTING, CONTACT YOUR
NEAREST AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER/
DEPARTMENT, WHICH HAS PROPER EQUIPMENT AND
EXPERIENCE TO MAKE ANY NECESSARY
ADJUSTMENTS.
