2.16.2 Automatic shift
In the head-up mode, the amount of shift is automatically calculated with speed.
The maximum shift amount is limited to 60% of the range in use. For example, if
you set the shift speed setting for 15 knots and the ship is running at 10 knots,
the amount of shift will be 40%. The formula for determining shift amount is as
shown below.

Setting automatic shift maximum speed
1. If not displayed, press the [HIDE/SHOW] key to show the radar soft keys.
2. Press the RADAR DISPLY soft key.
3. Press the SHIFT soft key to show the shift soft keys.
4. Press the AUTO S.SPD soft key to display the auto ship speed setting
window.

5. Adjust the cursor pad or [ENTER] knob to set the maximum speed of your
vessel and then push the [ENTER] knob or the ENTER soft key to set. The
setting range is 1-999 kt and the default setting is 15 kt.
Automatic shift
Press the AUTO key to automatically shift the sweep origin. To cancel shift,
press the RADAR DISPLAY, SHIFT and OFF soft keys.
