 Alwaysremovethetestleadsbeforereplacingthebatteryorfuses.

 Inspecttheconditionofthetestleadsandthemeteritselfforanydamagebefore

operating

themeter.Repairorreplaceanydamagebeforeuse.

 Usegreatcarewhenmakingmeasurementsifthevoltagesaregreaterthan25VACrmsor

35VDC.Thesevoltagesareconsideredashockhazard.

 Alwaysdischargecapacitorsandremovepowerfromthedeviceundertestbefore

performingDiode,Resistance

orContinuitytests.

 Voltagechecksonelectricaloutletscanbedifficultandmisleadingbecauseofthe

uncertaintyofconnectiontotherecessedelectricalcontacts.Othermeansshouldbeused

toensurethattheterminalsarenot"live".

 Iftheequipmentisusedinamannernotspecifiedbythe

manufacturer,theprotection

providedbytheequipmentmaybeimpaired.


