Problem Probable Causes Corrective Action
A. Dirty water level sensors. (If the
water level sensors are dirty, the
controller may not “know” the pot
is full.)
A. Remove the probe block cover
and clean the sensors using a
Scotchbrite™ or similar pad and
a solution of detergent and
water.
B. Insufficient mineral content in
water. (Pure water is not a
conductor of electricity. The water
level sensors actually sense
impurities in the water, not the
water itself.)
B. Add ⅛-cup of baking soda to the
water in the cookpot as the unit
fills. DO NOT USE SALT!
Doing so will damage the
cookpot. Avoid using distilled,
highly filtered, or deionized
water.
