Tips and Shortcuts
• Select from any screen to return to the Home screen.
• Select from any main screen to access additional settings.
• Press and release the key to adjust the Backlight and Color Mode display settings.
• Press and hold the key to turn on or off the chartplotter.
Manual Conventions
In this manual, when you are instructed to select an item, either press the soft key along the right side of the
screen (GPSMAP 6000 series units) or use your nger to touch that item on the screen (GPSMAP 7000 series
units) to select it. Small arrows (>) in the text indicate that you should select each item in order. For example,
if you see “select > ,” you should press the soft key (GPSMAP 6000 series)
or touch (GPSMAP 7000 series), and then press or touch .
