The ESC. or
ESCAPE softkey.
is seen on some of
the displays
which
ask
you
to enter
information, such as
waypoint namcs or coordinates.
Pressing the
ESC
sofikey
will return
the Star
Pilot to the
prcvious
screen
with no
changes being
entered.
This is useful. tor
instance. if
you
started entering
a waypoint
name and then decided
not to usc that
waypoint. Using
the ESC sofikey,
the
Star
Pilot
will retrun to the
previous screen
and disregard
the
information
you
had started to enter
lbr the
selected waypoint.
Power/Backlight Control
The
Power On/Otf button
is located on the lower
right
side
of the
Star
Pilot. To turn the unit On
press
the Power
Key
once.
To turn
the
unit
Off
press
and
hold the Power
Key
down
until it beeps.
The
Display Backlight
goes
on automatically
when
vou
turn
the
Star
Pilot on.
A momentary
push
on the
Power Key alternates the
Backlisht On & Off.
