Note:
The beep output level is linked to the
VOL
control position.
BUSY CHANNEL LOCKOUT
This function is used to prevent transmitting on a
channel or frequency that somebody else is currently
using. When turned ON, an error beep sounds and
you cannot transmit even if you press Mic
[PTT]
while
another party is using the channel or frequency.

select Menu No. 22 (BCL).

control to select
“ON” or “OFF” (default).

FREQUENCY STEP SIZE
Choosing the correct frequency step size is essential in
selecting your exact receive frequency using the
Tuning
control or Mic
[UP]
/
[DWN]
. You can select your desired
frequency step size from:
2.5 kHz, 5 kHz, 6.25 kHz, 10 kHz, 12.5 kHz, 15 kHz,
20 kHz, 25 kHz, 30 kHz, 50 kHz, 100 kHz.
To change the frequency step size:

While in VFO Mode, press
[F]
,
[MENU]
and turn the
Tuning
control to select Menu No. 1 (STP).

Press
[MENU]
and turn the
Tuning
control to select
your desired frequency step size.

Press
[MENU]
to store the setting or any other key to
cancel.

Press any key other than
[MENU]
to exit Menu Mode.
Note:
If you change to a frequency step size that does not match the
current operating frequency, the transceiver automatically adjusts the
frequency to match the new frequency step size.
