wireless devices for security and check Do Not Permit in the Blanked SSID
connection.
Instructions for the data fields

Set Encryption or MAC Address Filtering if necessary. To encrypt the data
that is transmitted over your wireless network, click [Encryption] on the
Wireless Setup window ( Page 86 ).
If you want to limit the connections from the wireless devices to the KX-
HGW600, click [MAC Address Filtering] on the Wireless Setup window.
( Page91).
SSID SSID (Service Set IDentifier) is a wireless network name.
For security, the wireless devices require the same SSID in
the wireless communication.
Enter the SSID as follows: (The default setting is "HGW600".)
• The SSID is case-sensitive.
• The SSID can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters.

When you check Permit, the wireless devices which are set
to "ANY"orblankintheSSID can communicate. After
completing the SSID setting, check Do Not Permit for
security.
Channel You can set the number of the channel on which wireless
devices communicate. This channel can be selected from 1
to 11 using the drop-down menu. (The default setting is "1".)
If one or more wireless devices are communicating each
other, the communication speed may be reduced due to the
same bandwidth being used. In this case, change to a
different channel for good communication.
