Humminbird LCR 8000 Fish Finder User Manual

Thermocline is a temperature change at a certain depth in the water. In some conditions the
sonar waves will actually reflect or bounce off this temperature change and therefore it will be
displayed on the LCR as shown above. Normally a high sensitivity setting is required to show the
thermocline, therefore, if you want to see the thermocline go to the manual mode and increase
the sensitivity level.
OPTIONAL SURFACE TEMPERATURE GAUGE
Your LCR 8000 or LCR 8000D is designed to work with an optional surface temperature gauge,
Humminbird Part Number TG-LCR. Figure 25 illustrates the three basic parts of the temperature
gauge - the cable interconnection between the temp gauge electronics and the LCR, the temp
gauge electronic housing, and the temp gauge probe and cable assembly.
