Checking the Air ow
Air ow is provided by four hot-swap 8-cm chassis fans working in conjunction 1.
with an air shroud. One 9-cm exhaust fan is also mounted at the rear of the
chassis. The system component layout was carefully designed to promote
suf cient air ow through the chassis.
Note that all power and data cables have been routed in such a way that they 2.
do not block the air ow generated by the fans. Keep this in mind when you
reroute them after working on the system.
Providing Power
Plug the power cords from the power supplies unit into a high-quality power 1.
strip that offers protection from electrical noise and power surges. It is recom-
mended that you use an uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
