The Intel 8"5E chipset supports a wide variety of video modes. The drivers for specific operating
systems support a subset of these modes. The table below lists the video modes supported by the

2.5 Audio
The chipset ICH2 contains a digital audio controller that is supported on the motherboard by an
Analog Devices AD"885 audio CODEC. The motherboard has an on-board ATAPI CD-ROM stereo
audio line-input connector and a mono ATAPI telephony connector. The rear panel has three
3.5mm audio jacks for stereo Line output (driven by an amplifier and suitable for driving
headphones), stereo Line input and a monaural microphone input with phantom power suitable for
electret microphones.
An optional mini-speaker can be fitted to provide PC speaker functions (error 'beep' etc.).
