SAFE BOATING PRACTICE S
Always carry an observer when
pulling a tube, skier or wakeboa rder,
proceed w ith only as much s peed as
required a nd follow the observer’s
instructions. Unless absolutely nec -
essary, do not make tight, sharp
turns. Keep a safe distance from
the docks, other swimmers, craft or
objects.
Use a tow rope of sufficient len gth
and size and make sure it is ade-
quately secured to you r watercraft.
While some craft are equipped or
can be fitted with a specially de-
signed towing mechanism avoid in-
stalling a tow pole on a PWC. It can
become a hazard should someone
fall on it.
Be advised that serious injurycan re-
sult if the tow rope becomes slack
during a tight turn or when circling.
The rope coul d becom e wrapp ed
around the neck or limbs of a person
thathasfalleninthewater.
With wakeboard and/o r rack in-
stalled, operate with extra caution:
never perform aggres s ive maneu-
vers includ ing spin-out; never jump
waves; use common sense and
limit speed. Otherw ise, wakeboard
could detach or occupants c ould fall
off and get injured against the wake-
board or rack.
Respect no wake zones, the rights
of other water users and the en-
vironmen t. As the operator and
owner of a PWC, y ou are responsi-
ble fo r damage to other wa tercrafts
caused by the wake of your PWC.
Do not let an yone throw refuse over-
board.
