Database Administration Installation Guide
3.B Run the installation script by typing the following command:
./install.sh
Note
For HP-UX versions that display directory and file names in all
uppercase, type the following command: ./INSTALL.SH\;1.
Step 4 When the installation menu appears, type 2 to install the PATROL
DB-Admin KM.
Step 5 Follow the prompts within the script to install the PATROL DB-Admin
KM, and then exit.
Troubleshooting PATROL Knowledge Module Installation (Unix Host)
If you receive the following message during the KM installation, take the
necessary corrective action and then proceed with your installation.
0160 ERROR: CANNOT ACCESS PATROL_HOME
Explanation: To install the files for the PATROL DB-Admin
Knowledge Module (KM), the script must locate the PATROL
Application Management software. The script could not locate
$PATROL_HOME because this environment variable was not set
properly, not set at all, or the PATROL Application Management
software was not previously installed.
Exit the installation, and attempt to locate the PATROL Application
Management software. If you cannot locate it, install the PATROL
Application Management software.
