4. Use the joystick to highlight Initialize.
5. Select the Video Disc sub-menu.
6. Choose Start from the Video sub-menu.
7. Press ENTER to begin formatting the DVD-RW disc.
Formatting the disc erases
any existing content.

10.3 Finalize Disc Settings
The Finalize settings available under Disc Setup include the following options:
Finalize – default: n/a
Undo Finalize – default: n/a
10.3.1 Finalize Disc
Follow the directions below to finalize a disc (VR or Video).
1. Press the SETUP button to access the main menu.
2. Use the joystick to highlight Disc Setup.
3. Press ENTER to access the menu.
4. Use the joystick to highlight Finalize.
5. Select Finalize on the sub-menu.
6. Choose Start from the finalize sub-menu.
7. Press ENTER to begin finalizing the disc and exit the menu.
10.3.2 Undo Finalized Disc
To edit or record additional material on to a finalized DVD-RW disc (finalized
on another recorder), you must first Undo the finalization. The Undo Finalize
command is unavailable in the following situations.
Disc was finalized on the current recorder rather than another recorder
Disc is DVD-R media
