6.1.6 Stop a Timer Recording in Progress
To stop a timer program already in progress, follow the instructions below.
1. Press and hold the REC button for approximately three seconds.
When the indicator turns off, the program is cancelled but recording
continues.
2. Press Stop to end the recording session.
It may require as much as 30 seconds to stop the recording process.
Approximately two minutes before a timer program begins, the recorder’s
power automatically switches ON. Pressing Standby/ON during this period
stops the recording session but does not cancel the timer program.
6.1.7 Cancel Timer Recording
A Timer Program may be cancelled any time prior to the recording start time.
Follow the directions below to cancel a timer recording program.
1. Press SETUP to access the setup menu.
2. Select Timer Rec from the menu or select Disc Timer Rec if the disc
timer option is active.
The Timer Recording program appears on screen.
3. Move the cursor to highlight the timer program number to be deleted.
4. Press CLEAR to delete the timer program entry.
When the recorder is in Standby with the timer indicator lit, switching ON the
recorder keeps the timer program from recording the selection but does not
cancel the timer program.
Approximately two minutes before a timer program begins, the recorder’s
power automatically switches ON. Pressing Standby/ON at this point stops
the recording session but does not cancel the timer program. Press and hold
the REC button for three seconds to cancel the timer program.
To cancel a timer recording when the unit is locked, press and hold the STOP
button on the front panel for three seconds to unlock the recorder. Then, press
and hold the REC button for three seconds to cancel the timer program.
