To configure ACS to allow multiple sessions:
1. Select Ports from the top menu bar; select Physical Ports from the left
menu panel.
The system brings up the Physical Ports list.
2. From the Physical Ports list, select the Port(s) you wish to modify (to
enable multiple sessions).
3. Select the Multi User tab from the resulting form.
The system invokes the Multi-User form:
4. Complete the form as follows:
When multiple sessions are allowed for one port, ACS will accept only
one common session and one sniffer session. In this setting, the behavior
of the ACS is as follows:
• The first user to connect to the port opens a common session.
• From the second connection on, only Admin users are allowed to
connect to that port.
• The ACS will send a hotkey menu to the administrator(s).
Field Name Definition
Allow Multiple Sessions Select from: No, Yes (show menu), Read/Write
(do not show menu), ReadOnly (do not show
menu).
Sniff Mode Select from: Out, In, In/Out, and No.
Menu Hotkey The hotkey for accessing the menu.
Notify Users Check box to notify users of session access.
