Mounting of scanner housing
Only the signal cable runs from the display unit to the antenna unit. Drill a hole of at least 25
mm diameter through the deck or bulkhead for cable entry. Pass the signal cable through
the hole. Apply a sealing compound to the hole for waterproofing.
In order to minimize the chance of picking up electrical interference, avoid where possible
routing the signal cable near other onboard electrical equipment. Also, avoid running the
cable in parallel with power cables.
The procedure for connecting the signal cable to the antenna unit is as follows.
6. Through a pipe or waterproof cable gland fitted on the wheelhouse top or bulkhead,
pass the cable toward the antenna unit.
7. Open the antenna housing cover and fix the stay. Remove the cable clamping plate by
loosening four M4 screws and the gasket at the bottom of the antenna housing.
