BRP w ill not ho nor this limited warranty to any private use owner or comm ercial
use owner if the prec eding c onditions have not been m et. Such limitations are
necessary in order to allow B RP to pres erve both the safety of its products, and
also that of its consum ers and the g enera l public.
6. WHAT TO DO TO OBTAIN WAR RANTY COVERAGE
The customer must cease using the Sea-Doo personal watercraft upon the
appearance of an anomaly. The custom er must notify a servicing BRP Distribu-
tor/Dealer within two (2) months of the appea ran ce of a defect, and provide it with
reasonable access to the product and reasonable opportunity to repair it. T he
customer must also present to the authorized BRP Distributor/Dea ler, proof of
purchase of the produc t and must sign the repair/work order prior to starting the
repair in order to va lidate the warranty repair. All parts replaced under this limited
warranty become the property of BRP.
Note that the notification period is subject to the applicable national or local legisla-
tion in your c ountry.
7. WHAT BRP WILL DO
BRP’s obligations under this warranty are limited to, at its sole discretion, repa iri ng
parts found defective under normal use , m a inten an ce and service, or replaci ng
such parts with new gen uine SEA-DOO parts wi thout charge for pa rts and labor,
at any autho rized BRP Distributor/Dealer during the wa rranty covera ge period
under the conditions des c ribed herein. No claim of breach of warranty shall be the
cause for cancellation or rescission of the sale of th e Sea-Doo personal watercraft
to the own er.
In the event that service is required outside of the country of original sale, the
owner will bear re sp ons ibility for any additional c ha rges due to local practices
and co ndition s, such as, but not limited to, freight, ins ura nc e, taxes, li ce ns e f ees ,
import duties, and any and all other financial charges, inclu ding those levied by
governments, states, territories and their re sp ective age nc ies.
BRP reserves the right to improve or modify products from time to time without as-
suming any obligation to modify products previo us ly manufac tured.
8. TRAN S FER
If the ownership of a product is transferred during the warranty covera ge period,
this warranty shall also be transferred and be valid for the remaining coverag e pe-
riod provided BRP or an authorized BRP Distributor/Dealer receives a proof that the
former owner ag reed to the transfer of ow ners hip, in addition to the co-ordinates
of the new owner.
9. CONSUMER ASSISTANCE
1. In the event of a controversy or a dispute i n c onnec tion w ith thi s limited w ar-
ranty, BRP suggests that you try to resolve the issue at the d ea lership level.
We recommend disc us s ing the issue with the authorized Distribu to r/Deale r’s
service ma na ger or owner.
2. If further assistance is required, the distributor’s service department should be
contacted in order to res olve the m atter.
