In decompression
diving, the display
further changes
with the Ascent time
replacing the No-Deco
time in the upper right
corner of the display.
Deco Stops are
indicated in an
orange window.
Ascent time is based
upon a direct ascent
at a rate of 30' per
minute including all
decompression, deep
and safety stops.
Warning!
All deco stops must
be completed, in
addition to any deep
or safety stops
indicated!
Decompression Diving
Decompression is indicated when the no-
deco time reaches zero and is replaced by the
Ascent Time.
Decompression stops will be indicated as they
accrue. Only the deepest stop (which may be
a blue Deep Stop) will be displayed. When it is
completed the next required stop will appear.
Any programmed gas switches are taken
into account when Cobalt calculates
decompression and ascent time. However, if
you dismiss a gas switch alert dialog without
making the switch, Cobalt will recalculate your
decompression schedule based on the current
gas mix.
For deep and exceptional exposures
(decompression dives below 150'), you will not
see deep or safety stops. The algorithm will
incorporate them into the required deco stops,
which must be observed.
