Establishing an ActiveSync Connection
Three software components are necessary to configure the HX1 via ActiveSync:
• An XScale USB driver
• Microsoft ActiveSync
• Mobile Power Toys Software
Step 1: Install XScale USB Driver
To install the USB Driver:
1. Power on the HX1
2. Connect the configuration cable to the HX1 and the PC.
Note: Do not attach the cable to the HX1 until the Power LED is flashing green.
3. When the Windows New hardware Wizard appears on the PC, follow the on-screen
instructions. When prompted, select the option that allows you to specify the location of the
driver:

Note: Windows XP Professional wizard shown. The hardware wizard appearance may
vary in other versions of Windows.
4. Browse to the location of the WECUSBSH.INF file.
5. Select the file and complete the wizard.
Note: If you are prompted to replace the existing file, click Yes to replace it.
