Models H71 & H84Operating Procedures
Rinsing
Step 1
Pour two gallons (7.6 liters) of cool, clean water i nto
the mix hopper. With the brushes provided, scrub the
mix hopper, mix level sensing probes, the outside of
the agitator housing, and the mix inlet hole.
Step 2
With a mix pail beneath the door spout, press the
WASH key.
Step 3
Open the draw valve on the freezer door. Drain all the
rinse water from the door spout, close the draw valve,
and press the WASH key cancelling the wash cycle.
Repeat this procedure until the rinse water being
drawn from the freezing cylinder is clear.
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the other side of the
freezer on the Model H84.
Hopper Cleaning
Step 1
Prepare two gallons (7.6 liters) of an approved 100
PPM sanitizing solution (example: Kay-5r). USE
W ARM WATER AND FOLLOW THE MANUFACTUR-
ER’S SPECIFICATIONS.
Step 2
Pour the two gallons (7.6 liters) of cleaning solution
into the hopper and allow it to flow into the freezing
cylinder.
Step 3
While the solution is flowing into the freezing cylinder,
brush clean the mix hopper, mix level sensing probes,
the outside of the agitator housing, and mix inlet hole.
Step 4
Prepare two more gallons (7.6 liters) of the cleaning
solution.
Step 5
Pour the solution into the mix hopper.
Step 6
Brush the exposed sides of the hopper. Wait at least
5 minutes before proceeding with these instructions.
Step 7
Press the WASH key. This will cause the cleaning
solution in the freezing cylinder to be agitated.
Step 8
Place an empty pail beneath the door spout.
Step 9
Open the draw valve on the freezer door and draw off
all the solution.
Step 10
Once the cleaner stops flowing from the door spout,
close the dr aw valve and press the WASH key
cancelling the wash cycle.
Repeat Steps 1 through 10 for the other side of the
freezer on the Model H84.
Disassembly
Note: Failure to remove parts, brush clean and then
air dry these parts, will result in damage to the related
parts. These parts must be removed and the freezer
cleaned every 14 days or the machine will lock-out and
not operate in the AUTO mode.
MAKE SURE POWER SWITCH IS IN THE
“OFF ” POSITION! Failure to follow this instruction
may result in severe personal injury from hazardous
moving parts.
Step 1
Remove the handscrews, freezer door , beater(s) and
scraper blades, and drive shaft(s) from the freezing
cylinder(s) and take to the sink for cleaning.
Step 2
Remove the front drip tray and splash shield.
Brush Cleaning
Step 1
Prepare a sink with an approved cleaning solution
(example: Kay-5r). USE WARM WAT ER AND
FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFI-
CATIONS.
IMPORTANT: Follow label directions, as too
STRONG of a solution can cause parts damage, while
too MILD of a solution will not provide adequate
cleaning. Make sure all brushes provided with the
freezer are available for brush cleaning.
Step 2
Remove the seal(s) from the drive shaft(s).
