SOUNDER SETUP menu description
EXPansion MARKER: The expansion markers can be turned on
or off.
TVG: Raise the TVG (Time Varied Gain) when surface noise masks
a shallow target. In addition to suppressing noise, the TVG com-
pensates for propagation loss of sound so that the echoes from the
same fish schools appear in the same color. Set the TVG between
"3" and "5" for normal use. Too high a setting can erase echoes.

ECHO LEVEL: This value determines minimum echo sensitiv-
ity. Reduce the setting when sensitivity appears to be too high.
BTM-LOCK: The bottom-lock range can be set to wide or nar-
row. (In meters, this is 5 and 10 meters, respectively.)
ES-STOP: Turn off ES-STOP to disable the video sounder dis-
play.
