Expanded operating temperature
For temperatures between 40°C and 45°C, de-
rate maximum allowable temperature by 1°C per
125 m above 950 m (1°F per 228 ft).
Expanded operating temperature restrictions
• Do not perform a cold startup below 5 °C.
• Maximum 105 W processor is supported.
• The following do not support the expanded
operating temperature range:
– PCIe SSDs
– Non Dell-qualified peripheral cards and/or
peripheral cards greater than 25 W
• When populating the sled slots in the FX2s
enclosure with only PowerEdge FC630 sleds:
– Install 104 mm width heat sink for
processors of less than 105 W.
– If you install a sled with two processors in
the FX2s enclosure, all sled slots in the
enclosure must have PowerEdge FC630
sleds with the same configuration.
However, vacant sled slots in the enclosure
can be installed with sled blanks.
