Installing Processor
NOTE
: To allow easier access, you can tilt the server on its right side (side
opposite of the removed panel). Be sure to lock the casters if you tilt the
server.
NOTE
: Your processor and Processor Power Module may differ from the
models illustrated.
For the location of the processor settings switch and Bus/Ratio settings, refer to
the Hardware Installation and Configuration poster or to the hood label located
on the small access panel.
1. Prepare the server for installation. See section “Preparing the Server,”
outlined earlier in this chapter.
2. Install the Intel processor.
