Question: What happens when the Global Database Size as
specified in System parameters is reached? Error messages? Crash?
Are there any warnings at some point before the limit is reached?

"Insufficient shared memory resources. Entering system maintenance
mode for configuration; after configuring your shared memory
database size, stop and restart the fep."
Question: Can I look at the Event Logs with other software
products?
Answer: There are many products that can view or report on the
Alarm and Event Logs. To open these tables with other products,
they must be able to read FoxPro tables and index files. How this is
accomplished from product to product differs; some may be able to
open them directly, some may need to be configured for external data
sources.
In Microsoft Access, for example, you must create, or have created a
database to which you want to connect the tables. You then can either
Import or Link to the Alarm and Event Log tables. Import means
copying the data to a new table, and Link means connecting to the
tables. The later is generally the preferred method, as the import
needs to be refreshed as needed, where links are always up to date.
You will need to specify the file type, Foxpro (.dbf) files.
