INSIGHT
NOTE: Sherwood Scuba strongly advises that you replace the Battery and DO NOT attempt to dive
when the Battery symbol remains on the display, and that you replace the Battery with a new one
prior to any multi day dive trip.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES
MODULE REMOVAL FROM BOOT
If the Insight is in a Wrist Boot, it will be necessary to peel the lips of the Boot downward off the Module while applying pres-
sure from underneath, working it out slowly.
If it is in a Console, bend the rubber Console Boot back to expose the edge of the Module. If the Boot is flexible enough to
permit, you may bend it back far enough to scoop the Module out with your finger. Otherwise, it may be necessary to insert a
blunt screwdriver until the tip rests just underneath the Module. DO NOT pry the Module from the Console! Slowly increase
the pressure under the Module by releasing the tension on the rubber Boot. The Module will slide up the screwdriver and exit
the Console.
CAUTION: The procedure that follows must be closely adhered to. Damage due to improper battery
replacement is not covered by the Insight's limited 2 year warranty.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The Battery Compartment should only be opened in a dry and clean environment with extreme care taken to prevent the en-
trance of moisture or dust.
