Setting Alarms and Timers
➤ To set up an alarm or timer:
Press the ALARMS key. The Alarms Set Up list is displayed, showing the
current settings as shown in Figure 3-47.

1. Use the trackpad up/down to navigate through the list. As each line is
highlighted, the soft keys are updated to show the current settings and
controls, as shown in Figure 3-47.
2. Use the up/down arrow soft keys to change the alarm value. For
example, in the case of the arrival alarm, adjust the radius around the
waypoint at which you require the arrival alarm to be triggered.
3. Alarm distances are set in the range 0.01nm to 9.99nm, in steps of
0.01nm. The countdown timer is set in hours and minutes. The alarm
clock is set in hours and minutes.
4. If required, press the ALARM OFF ON soft key to toggle the alarm on or
off. If you turn an alarm off, its value is retained and will be used when
you turn the alarm on again.
Note: All alarms and timers can be switched on and off, except for the Ar-
rival Alarm which is always on.
5. Press ENTER to save the changes and clear the menu.
