2.4) Digital I/O Interface
There are 16 digital Inputs and 16 Digital Outputs available on the PC62C via Header J6.
The digital I/O lines on the PC 62C are directly compatible with most forms of TTL and
CMOS logic operating from +5V supplies. Detailed specifications on the digital I/O lines
are found in Appendix A: Specifications.
A logical Low is from 0 to 0.8V and a Logical High is from 2.0V to +5.1V. Although
these are defined as TTL Levels it is recommended that a logical Low voltage is from 0V
to 0.3V and a logical high is from 4.5V to 5.1V.
The digital Inputs and Outputs can be read and written as a single 16 Bit Word
(recommended) or alternatively two 8 bit Bytes.
