Parameter Description
userLabel
Specifies the new name to give an existing virtual
disk. You must put quotation marks (" ") around the
new virtual disk name.
preReadRedundancyCheck
The setting to check the consistency of RAID
redundancy data on the stripes during read
operations. Do not use this operation for
nonredundant virtual disks, for example RAID Level
0. To check redundancy consistency, set this
parameter to TRUE. For no stripe checking, set this
parameter to FALSE.
accessVirtualDisk
Specifies the logical unit number for the access
virtual disk. The logical unit number is the only
property that you can set for the access virtual
disk.
NOTE: If you specify the
accessVirtualDisk parameter, the only
property that you can set is the
logicalUnitNumber.
logicalUnitNumber
Defines specific virtual disk-to-LUN mappings to
an individual host or assigns the host to a host
group.
host
Specifies the name of the host to which the virtual
disk is mapped. You must put quotation marks (" ")
around the host name.
hostGroup
Specifies the name of the host group to which the
virtual disk is mapped. You must put quotation
marks (" ") around the host group name.
NOTE: When using this command, you can specify one or more of the parameters. You do not,
however, need to use all of the parameters.
NOTE: You can apply the addCapacity, segmentSize, userLabel, and logicalUnitNumber
parameters to only one virtual disk at a time.
NOTE: Setting the addCapacity, addPhysicalDisks, or segmentSize parameter starts a long-
running operation that you cannot stop. These long-running operations are performed in the
background and do not prevent you from running other commands. To display the progress of
long-running operations, use the show virtualDisk actionProgress command.
Set Virtual Disk Attributes For A Disk Pool
Description
This command defines the properties for a virtual disk. You can use most parameters to define properties
for one or more virtual disks. You also can use some parameters to define properties for only one virtual
