This document provides procedures to install a DEFINITY
®
Enterprise
Communications Server Release 6csi, using the Compact Modular Cabinet.
This document is intended for use by trained installation technicians.
Conventions Used in This Book
Information you type is shown as: save translation
Information displayed on the management terminal is shown as: login
Keyboard keys are shown as: Enter.
Circuit pack codes (such as TN798 or TN2182B) are shown with the
minimum acceptable alphabetic suffix (like the ‘‘B” in the code TN2182B).
Generally, an alphabetic suffix higher than that shown is also acceptable.
However, not every vintage of either the minimum suffix or a higher suffix
code is necessarily acceptable.

for current information about usable
vintages of specific circuit pack codes (including the suffix).
The following conventions describe the systems referred to in this document.
The word
system
is a general term encompassing Release 6 and includes
references to the DEFINITY Enterprise Communications Server
Systems in this book are called Release 6, Release 6 CMC, and R6csi
Information in this book is applicable for Release 6 unless otherwise
specified
DEFINITY Enterprise Communications Server is abbreviated as DEFINITY
ECS
