Perceive administrator user interface
As an administrator, your gateway to assessing system performance in Perceive is a
view. The view is your vehicle for controlling the way you want Perceive to perform
for your consumers, so they can easily obtain pertinent data information at a glance.
Figure 50 illustrates the administrator user interface, displaying the Status page on
the
Administration tab.

Logging on to the administrator interface
Administrator functionality is only available for analysts and administrators after
logging on to Perceive. When the current session times out (after 90 minutes) and you
are currently logged on as analyst or administrator, you are automatically logged off,
and the application returns to the
Views tab.
To log on as an administrator

Click Administrator at the top-right of the selector pane in the Perceive display.
2 Type your user name in the User Name field.
NOTE
Some administrative functions use applets that require Java plug in 1.3 or 1.4. If you do not
have the plug-in installed, a message prompts you to install it.
