Logging on to the analyst interface
Analyst functionality is only available for analysts and administrators after logging
on to Perceive. When the current session times out (after 90 minutes) and you are
currently logged on as analyst or administrator, you are automatically logged off, and
the application returns to the
Views tab.
To log on as an analyst
1 Click Administrator at the top-right of the selector pane in the Perceive display.
2 Type your user name in the User Name field.
3 Type your password in the Password field.
4 If authorization is accepted, Perceive opens on the Build Views tab, and makes the
Administration tab available.
NOTE
The install specifies Java plug-in1.4 to run the Create View and Edit View applet, but it loads
and runs with 1.3 as well. If you do not have the plug-in installed, you are prompted to install
it.
