The consumer’s role in Perceive
Who are the consumers? Typically, they are application owners or business managers
who must assess the status of a computer or group of computers, easily determine
possible bottlenecks in the server network, or manipulate the display to chart a
snapshot of specific metrics or a given time period.
Consumers are the primary users of Perceive, and are responsible for determining the
health of a computer system at a glance. The consumer’s job is to provide fast,
high-quality performance information to operate a business more efficiently and
reduce downtime. This chapter helps you learn Perceive’s consumer interface quickly
so that you can achieve these goals.
