Stop Snapshot (Legacy)
Description
This command stops a copy-on-write operation.
Syntax
stop snapshot (virtualDisk [virtualDiskName] |
virtualDisks [virtualDiskName1... virtualDiskNameN])
Parameters
Parameter Description
virtualDisk or virtualDisks The name of the specific virtual disk for which you
want to stop a copy-on-write operation. You can
enter more than one virtual disk name.
Enclose the virtual disk names using one of these
forms:
On a Windows command line:
\"virtualDiskName\"
In a Windows script engine window:
["virtualDiskName"]
On a Linux command line:
\"virtualDiskName\"
In a Linux script engine window:
[\"virtualDiskName\"]
Notes
Names can be any combination of alphanumeric characters, underscore (_), hyphen (-), and pound (#).
Names can have a maximum of 30 characters.
One technique for naming the snapshot (legacy) virtual disk and the snapshot (legacy) repository virtual
disk is to add a hyphenated suffix to the original base virtual disk name. The suffix distinguishes between
the snapshot (legacy) virtual disk and the snapshot (legacy) repository virtual disk. For example, if you
have a base virtual disk with a name of Engineering Data, the snapshot (legacy) virtual disk can have a
name of Engineering Data-S1, and the snapshot (legacy) repository virtual disk can have a name of
EngineeringData- R1.
