Selection and protection of a motor
5.9.2 Applied motor (Pr. 71, Pr. 450)
The above parameters can be set when Pr. 160 User group read selection = "0". (Refer to page 167)
(1) Set the motor to be used
Refer to the following list and set this parameter according to the motor used.
Setting of the used motor selects the thermal characteristic appropriate for the motor.
Setting is required to use a constant-torque motor. Thermal characteristic of the electronic thermal relay function
suitable for the motor is set.
When General-purpose magnetic flux vector or Advanced magnetic flux vector control is selected, the motor constants
(SF-JR, SF-HR, SF-JRCA, SF-HRCA, etc.) necessary for control are selected as well.

REMARKS
When performing offline auto tuning, set any of "3, 13, 23, 43, 53" in Pr. 71.
(Refer to page 127 for offline auto tuning.)
For the 5.5K and 7.5K, the Pr. 0 Torque boost and Pr. 12 DC injection brake operation voltage settings are automatically changed
according to the Pr. 71 setting as follows.
NOTE
Set the electronic thermal relay function to the thermal characteristic for the constant-torque motor when using a
geared motor (GM-S, GM-D, GM-SY, GM-HY2 series) to perform Advanced magnetic flux vector control or General-
purpose magnetic-flux vector control.
