Main Fuse Inspection
•
Refer to the Electrical System chapter for the ECU Fuse
Inspection.
Relay Assembly Removal
CAUTION
Never drop the relay, especially on a hard surface.
Such a shock to the relay can damage it.
•
Remove:
Seats (see Frame chapter)
Bolt [A]
Relay Assembly [B]
Connector [C] (disconnect)
Band [D] (Cut)
Relay Assembly Inspection
•
Remove the relay assembly.
•
Connect the hand tester [A] and one 12 V battery [B] to
the relay connector [C] as shown.
Special Tool - Hand Tester: 57001-1394
Main Relay
Relay Coil Terminals [3] and [4]
Relay Switch Terminals [1] and [2]
Testing Relay
Tester range:
1 Ω range
Criteria: When battery is connected → 0 Ω
When battery is disconnected →∞Ω
If the relay does not work as specified, replace the relay
assembly.
