Ignition System
Measuring spark plug lead resistance
•
Check the spark plug lead [A] for visible damage.
If the spark plug lead is damaged, replace the spark plug
lead.
•
Measure the lead resistance with the hand tester [B].
Spark Plug Lead Resistance
Standard: 3.75 ∼ 6.25 kΩ
If the hand tester does not read as specified, replace the
lead
Camshaft Position S ensor Removal
•
Remove:
Seat (see Hull/Engine Hood chapter)
•
Cut off the clamp [A].
•
Disconnect the camshaft position sensor lead connector
[B].
•
Remove:
Camshaft Position Sensor Bolt [A]
Camshaft Position Sensor [B]
Camshaft Position Sensor Installation
•
Apply grease or engine oil to the O-ring on the camshaft
position sensor.
•
Tighten:
Torque - Camshaft Position Sensor Bolt: 9.8 N ·m (1.0
kgf·m, 87 in·lb)
