Oil Pan
Oil Pan Removal
•
Remove:
Engine Oil (drain, see Periodic Maintenance chapter)
Engine (see Engine Removal/Installation chapter)
•
Turn the engine to the side.
•
Unscrew the dipstick tube bolts [A] and pull out the dip-
stick tube [B].
•
Unscrew the oil pan bolts [A] and remove the oil pan [B].
Oil Pan Installation
•
Tighten the oil pan bolts following the tightening sequence
[1 ∼ 17].
Torque - Oil Pan Bolts: 7.8 N·m (0.80 kgf·m, 69 in·lb)
•
Apply grease to the O-ring [A] on the dipstick tube [B].
•
Apply a non-permanent locking agent to the dipstick tube
bolts.
•
Tighten all the dipstick tube bolts temporary.
○
First, tighten the oil pan side bolt. Next, tighten the cylin-
der head side bolts.
Torque - Dipstick Tube Bolt s: 7.8 N·m (0.80 kgf·m, 69 in·lb)
