PREMATURE DESCENT ALERTING
A Premature Descent Alert (PDA) is issued when the system detects that the aircraft is significantly
belowthenormalapproachpathtoarunway(Figure6-92).
PDAalertingbeginswhentheaircraftisbelow700feetAGLwithin15nmofthedestinationairportand
endswhentheaircraftis0.5nmfromtherunwaythreshold.
